Amanda and Ryan were married last spring on a gorgeous sunny day. The following photos were captured on behalf of Red Lotus Photography that is owned by Sandy Yetter. Some of you may recognize her name because she photographed my wedding day in 2009. Since then I have gained a truly great friend, and she has been an immense positive force in helping me grow as a photographer. When I pick up the phone to ask her something quick... suddenly an hour has gone by with us talking about color choices, branding, goals, and life in general. It is so much fun. Thank you Sandy for giving me the opportunity to be your second shooter and nerdy friend with a never-ending stream of questions. Now over to this awesome wedding. We first met with Amanda at her parents' house where she was getting ready. Her jewelry and bouquet beautifully accompanied the gorgeous wedding dress and all its embroidery. I have to confess that I got quite excited when I saw the cute purse and those purple heels. I am not a big heels person myself, but those were hot!
The wedding ceremony was held at St Mary Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church in Johnstown, PA. The church was beautiful with its wall paintings and colorful stained glass windows. After the ceremony we headed over to the Compass Inn Museum, followed by the reception at Ligonier Country Inn. As the sun was setting in the sky, we sneaked away from the dance floor with the newlyweds and found a little patch of flowers. It was visual poetry. Amanda and Ryan - Thank you for allowing me to be part of your big day.
