On Sunday mornings, we take Alice to obedience training in a fire hall in Verona, PA. She's attended seven out of the eight week long program in Moloney's K-9 Academy, and we can see a big difference in her behavior. Not only has she been drilled on heel, sit, stay, down, different walking speeds, zigzagging between dogs, walking up towards another dog and sitting next to it (without growling), laying in a circle facing the other dogs, etc, etc. Pat and Donna who teaches this course are doing a wonderful job at educating us how to handle our dogs. We are definitely going to continue to the advanced class, and hopefully become Canine Good Citizen certified.
Since it was such a gorgeous day when we got back, I decided to take Alice for a walk through Frick Park. Once home, she relaxed for the remainder of the day, and snored heavily on the floor. Alice sure knows how to enjoy a Sunday afternoon :).
