Getting Married in 2012?

My cousin recently shared a few photos that our uncle had scanned from an old family album. One photo of my grandparents really stood out to me, as it told the story of love from a distant past. I'm grateful that this photo exists because my grandparents passed away before I was born. During the last two years I have assisted several local wedding photographers. I love being part of a couple's most important day, capturing the event as it unfolds, and especially the moments in between. My goal has always been to develop my craft to finally do weddings on my own. I decided early on that I wouldn't take on this huge responsibility until 2012 or whenever I felt ready. With the new year around the corner, I intend to blog many of the weddings that I have assisted at. What I ultimately want to capture are images that are kept through generations, and that makes you feel as if you were there.

And remember... computers, hard drives, and DVDs always eventually fail. Make sure that you have backups of your most important moments, and have physical prints and albums made that can one day be shared with your grandchildren or great grandchildren.
