When Amanda Wilson's usual second shooter was away on her honeymoon, Amanda called me and asked if I would be interested in photographing a wedding with her at Kennywood Park in Pittsburgh, PA. Um....Yeah! I hadn't seen Amanda since she photographed my wedding together with Sandy a year earlier, so it was great to see her again, and to work with her.
As each guest entered the park they were given a balloon, and were asked to meet the bride and groom at the bridge in Lost Kennywood. Renee and Adrian had a beautiful ceremony on the bridge, and while I captured their first kiss from a distance, someone released their balloon to the sky. This was not the plan, but suddenly everyone let go, and the sky filled with pink balloons. It was awesome!
After the ceremony, everyone headed over to the pavilion for a delicious picnic lunch. All the kids were having a great time, and were excited for the rides in the afternoon. Kennywood's mascot Kenny Kangaroo joined for a bit, and both kids and adults enjoyed having their picture taken with him.
Amanda, thank you for allowing me to tag along with you. It was a truly unique wedding day that I will always remember. A big congratulations to Renee and Adrian. You guys rock!
