Vanessa and Okan were married in the outdoor garden at Phipps Conservatory earlier this summer. They were blessed with an absolutely gorgeous day. I first met Vanessa while she was getting her hair and makeup done. Afterwards, we stopped at her parents house where Okan and his groomsmen arrived to get ready. A huge thank you to Kim Palmer who assisted me for the day.
Isn't Princess Bella the most adorable dog you've ever seen?!? Vanessa and Okan chose to include a Turkish ring tradition in their ceremony. The rings would be passed among the guests for a blessing. The last person to receive the rings (Vanessa's grandma) would then untie the knot of the red ribbon, and Rachel (Vanessa's sister) who officiated the ceremony, would give them the rings. We then took off to Phipps Conservatory to get ready for Vanessa and Okan's first look. I just love moments like this. Vanessa, you are stunning! Vanessa's nieces were the most adorable flower girls. During cocktail hour, Vanessa surprised Okan with a belly dancer. His expression was priceless. The reception room at Phipps was beautifully decorated with vibrant colors and white orchids. Instead of a traditional guest book, Vanessa and Okan asked their guests to write messages pieces of fabric that would later be sewn into a quilt. Such a great idea.Vanessa's sister Erin filled the room with laughter during her maid of honor speech.
Congratulations Vanessa & Okan! Thank you for choosing me to document your wedding day. I wish you a lifetime of happiness.
