Billy and Sackett are two handsome guys who are featured in the 2014 edition of Our Best Friends Calendar. An annual project that I participate in to support the animals of the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society. The calendar is now available for purchase. Here are a few of my favorites from their portrait session.

When Cody's mom and I scheduled his photo shoot she send me a picture of him and his stuffed toy - a miniature version of himself. Cody is probably the cutest Pomeranian I've ever met. I sense that it is easy to say that about every Pomeranian because of their fluffy fur and beaming smiles. Even though the portrait doesn't show it, he is also the biggest Pomeranian I've ever seen. When I asked his mom if he was normal-sized she just shook her head and laughed. Cody was so excited to be visiting his neighbor's yard, while Willie who had just finished his photo shoot took off for the roof. :) Cody is one of the dogs that will be featured in Our Best Friends Calendar 2013 that benefits the animals of the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society. Cody, a 2.5-year old Corgie-Lab mix, and Hines, a 5-year old Lab mix, are trained therapy dogs that frequently visits patients at Allegheny General Hospital. Hines, surrendered as a puppy with a broken leg, was named by a group of Steelers who visited the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society 5 years ago to name all the puppies after the players. Jim, an avid Steelers fan kept the name when he adopted him. A couple of weeks ago we got together at West Park on the North Side, to capture their portraits for Our Best Friends Calendar 2013 that benefits the animals of the WPHS. I have never met two more gentle and sweet Labs and it was a pleasure to photograph them.
Last night I photographed Cody, a 2.5 year old Corgie-Lab mix, that was rescued as a puppy. He is now a trained therapy dog, and frequently visits patients at Allegheny General Hospital. Cody is one of the dogs that will be featured in Our Best Friends Calendar 2013 that benefits the animals of the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society. If you would like to reserve a spot in the calendar, please head over to WPHS homepage for more information.
I'm really excited to finally share the finished calendar that I and a couple of local photographers were working on this summer for the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society . I had so much fun capturing these beautiful pets, and to see it all come together. You can purchase a copy of the 2012 calendar today. All proceeds goes to the WPHS.
